As we explore Jesus’ final days and what led up to the Easter story, this month’s visual theme is behind-the-scenes cinema. The fun addition of The Reel Easter will show up in videos, visuals, and lesson dazzle, while our Bible-based lessons will continue to be focused on Scripture.

Brite Idea: Jesus is the Messiah.

Memory Verse: Zechariah 9:9b ESV Behold, your King is coming to you; righteous and having salvation is he, humble and mounted on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.

Kids will hear the Bible story about Jesus arriving in Jerusalem. Kids will learn from the Bible story that Jesus is our Messiah who God sent to be our promised King. Jesus came to save us so that we can live in relationship with God. We can put our trust in Jesus because He loves us and always wants the very best for us.

Discipleship Conversation Starters:

  1. As the Messiah, sometimes Jesus had to do things that weren't popular. Describe a time you needed to do something that wasn't popular, but you did it, because you knew God wanted you to.
  2. As the Messiah, Jesus knew everyone didn't understand why He came from heaven to earth. Why do you think Jesus came?
  3. Who do you know that doesn't know why Jesus came? How could you help them know Him?
