Importance of the Gathered Church

Across the country, many churches have seen tremendous declines in attendance. Some estimates show only 30% of pre-pandemic attenders have returned. For various reasons, the church has not regathered fully. Perhaps church attendance is part of what Fast Company calls "The Great Resignation" of the American workforce.

Jonathan Leeman posted a video titled "Not Gathering with the Church Hurts You Spiritually". His video highlights the essential nature of the church gathering.

In an article, Brett McCracken writes with a similar theme. "We plead: do not neglect the church (Heb. 10:25). Prioritize it. Commit to it. Invest there. Serve there. Grow alongside real, flesh-and-blood people. Embrace its unavoidably uncomfortable aspects."
