Babylon conquered the southern kingdom of Judah. Many Jews, including Daniel, were taken to be indoctrinated with Babylonian beliefs. Daniel & his friends remained committed to the Lord and their commitment spoke the truth of who God is to king Nebuchadnezzar. The last we hear from Nebuchadnezzar is Daniel 4:37: “Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise, exalt and honor the King of heaven, for all His works are true and His ways just, and He is able to humble those who walk in pride.”
