The kings of the northern kingdom of Israel were consistently evil and rebelled against the Lord. In the southern kingdom of Judah, Hezekiah was a good king. In 2 Kings 17-18, Israel suffered God's judgment for their sin when Assyria conquered them while God allowed Judah to remain.
